A change in seasons often calls for a change in skincare. With winter almost upon us, our skincare game should be upped to include products that are more hydrating and nourishing during the harsher weather. Keep reading for some of my favourite products to get me through the winter, all available from The Glen.
Avène Tolérance Extrême Cleansing Lotion (available from Priceline): I always switch up my cleanser during winter to something more hydrating and soothing. Look for cleansing lotions as opposed to foaming cleansers, which can be drying on the skin. This cleansing lotion from Avène contains only essential ingredients, which makes it perfect for anyone with sensitive skin and helps to calm, hydrate and purify skin.
Jurlique Activating Water Essence (available from David Jones): An essence is a must in my skincare routine to add that extra bit of hydration, particularly during winter. This Activating Water Essence is applied after cleansing and helps to continuously hydrate, soften and revitalise the skin.
Antipodes Kiwi Seed Oil Eye Cream (available from Priceline): This is a light yet beautifully hydrating eye cream to care for the delicate eye area during the cooler months. It contains Vitamin C to help rescue damaged tissue and 100% pure avocado oil to moisturise.
Estée Lauder Advanced Night Repair (available from David Jones): I always reach for this serum to give my skin that extra bit of love at night. It leaves my skin feeling smoother, more radiant and hydrated. This anti-ageing serum also helps to reduce fine lines and even out skin tone whilst you sleep.
Kiehl’s Ultra Facial Cream (available from David Jones): A lifesaver for combination to dry skin, this cream helps to reduce moisture loss as it draws and absorbs moisture from the air. A must have for hydrated, super soft skin.
Clarins Hand and Nail Treatment Cream (available from David Jones): The winter weather can be so drying on the hands, so I reach for this hand and nail cream to instantly hydrate and protect skin. This leaves my hands so soft and also helps to condition nails.
Lanolips 101 Ointment (available from Priceline): One of my can’t-live-without products, the Lanolips 101 Ointment is a multi-purpose balm that can be used on dry lips, cuticles, and any dry areas of skin. It’s a lifesaver for dry lips – pop a reasonable layer on before bed to wake up with insanely hydrated, smoother, softer lips.
